Trvalý príkaz is a standing payment order at a bank: you set up a regular payment once, and the bank sends the set amount to the specified account every month. It is convenient for rent or utility payments.
How it differs from inkaso
- Trvalý príkaz — you set the amount and date, and the money is sent automatically.
- Inkaso — on the contrary, the recipient "collects" money from your account themselves (for example, an energy company).
You can set up a trvalý príkaz in your online banking or app in a few minutes: enter the account number (IBAN), amount, frequency, and payment purpose. Often, the landlord asks you to add a note to the payment (poznámka) or a variabilný symbol so the payment is easy to recognize. The order can be made indefinite or you can set an end date, and you can change or cancel it at any time. Make sure you have enough funds in your account on the day of withdrawal.
