- Biodiversity, green spaces, and sustainable land use
- Waste management and circular economy
- Noise levels
- Climate change adaptation

For Košice, reaching the final is already confirmation that the city's long-term environmental strategy is correct and effective. It also increases the city's international prestige, which can attract new investments and tourists.

In the final, Košice will compete with four other European cities. Each of them has its strengths in environmental policy:

What earned Košice a place in the final?

- Water management projects, including measures to prevent floods and clean waterways.
