About the University
Comenius University in Bratislava is the oldest classical university in Slovakia, founded in 1919. Located in the capital, it has 13 faculties and accepts about 25,000 students, including 3,500 foreigners from over 70 countries.

Deadlines are set by each faculty separately: FMFI (mathematics/physics/informatics) — by 04/12/2026, Faculty of Medicine — 12/01/2025–02/28/2026, Faculty of Natural Sciences — by 03/15/2026.
On one application form, some faculties (e.g., FMFI) allow you to list up to 3 programs by priority; medical and humanities faculties usually allow one.

Do I need to have my Ukrainian certificate nostrified to apply to Comenius University (UK)?+
Yes. A foreign document of secondary education (certificate) requires recognition — uznanie dokladu o vzdelaní. The decision is issued by the Regional School Administration Office (Regionálny úrad školskej správy) at your location; for some faculties, the document is submitted upon enrollment.
