About the Faculty

The Faculty of Civil Engineering is a structural part of the Technical University of Košice. It is one of the largest technical institutions in Eastern Slovakia, specializing in training professionals for the construction industry.

Education covers the fields of structures, geotechnics, and urban infrastructure at Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels. The educational process is conducted mainly in Slovak, but there are some courses in English. The programs are based on a combination of scientific research and practical cooperation with industry.

For applicants from Ukraine, education is free if they know the Slovak language. Applications (prihláška) are accepted until the end of February or March. Students can apply for a place in a dormitory (internát), but its availability is not guaranteed and requires a separate request.

Admission to the Faculty

For most bachelor's programs, admission is grantedwithout entrance exams— based on the average grade of the certificate in relevant subjects. A bachelor's diploma in the relevant field is required for master's programs. Applications are submitted via ePrihláška.
