About the Faculty
The Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Management and Geotechnologies is a structural part of the Technical University of Košice. The institution specializes in training specialists for the mining industry, the environmental sector, and resource management. It is one of the specialized centers for technical education in the region.
Students can master process automation, transport logistics, geodesy, geotourism, and process management. Programs in renewable energy, environmental protection, and safety engineering are also available. Education is conducted at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels in Slovak with elements of English.

For full-time bachelor's studies, the faculty usually accepts students without an entrance exam, based on their high school results. This means technical fields are available even to those who do not want to take exams. Full-time studies in Slovak are free; this applies to Ukrainian citizens as well.

What specializations does FBERG TUKE offer besides mining?+
Despite its historical name 'Faculty of Mining', the modern FBERG focuses primarily on ecology, logistics, geodesy, and energy. Bachelor's programs include: Geodesy and Cadastre of Real Estate, Commercial and Industrial Logistics, Environmental Protection and Eco-technologies of Raw Materials, Renewable Energy Sources and Sustainable Energy, Geotourism (an English version, Geotourism, is also available).
There are also programs in Earth Resources Economics, Process Management, Automation of Raw Material Acquisition and Processing, and Rescue, Fire, and Safety Engineering. For practically oriented students, this combines engineering with ecology and management. Applications are submitted by March 31, 2026; the fee is 20 €.

Can I study in English at FBERG TUKE and is Slovak needed for Ukrainians?+
Yes, some programs are offered in English — notably Geotourism. However, English-taught programs, like at other Slovak universities, are usually paid. Full-time studies in Slovak are free for the standard duration, including for citizens of Ukraine.
For Slovak-taught programs, proficiency in Slovak at a level sufficient for technical studies is required. For admission, a recognized document of secondary education is needed.
