About the Faculty
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (FEI) is part of the Technical University of Košice and is considered the largest technical faculty in eastern Slovakia. The faculty's structure includes five departments specializing in computer science, electronics, telecommunications, cybernetics, and artificial intelligence.
Education is offered at the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctor of Philosophy levels. Students have access to 11 study programs, taught in Slovak or English. The educational process focuses on IT, automation, and engineering technologies.
The application fee (prihláška) is 20 euros. The deadline for applying to Bachelor's programs is April 30, 2026, and the admission committee's decision is expected by June 15, 2026. Information about dormitory (internát) placements is not available.

FEI TUKE (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics) offers about 11 bachelor's programs in electrical engineering and informatics, including: Informatics (plan ~180 places), Computer networks (~120), Artificial intelligence (~140), Cybersecurity (~70), Applied electrical engineering (~80+20), Automotive electronics (~60), Electrical power engineering (~70).
There are also Industrial electrical engineering, Computer modeling, Physical engineering of advanced materials, and a professional program Applied informatics (distance learning, 4 years).
The standard duration of most programs is 3 years; the form is full-time.

Are there entrance exams for FEI TUKE?+
There is no separate entrance exam. The ranking is formed by the sum of points: average grade from school (max. 60), type of secondary school (max. 30), and success in olympiads/competitions (each olympiad participation +60).
For previous incomplete bachelor's studies in Slovakia, negative points are awarded (1 year -150, 2 years -200, 3+ -250).
This means that the high school diploma grades, the school profile, and achievements in mathematics/physics/informatics are decisive.

Is it possible to enroll at FEI TUKE without knowing Slovak?+
For Slovak-language programs, Slovak at least A1 level is required. FEI TUKE (as part of TUKE) offers a free online Slovak course (180 hours, 15.02–May) with a final test (min. 51%).
Persons with temporary protection status can confirm their secondary education with a sworn statement + a general educational aptitude test upon application; apostilled documents upon enrollment.
An alternative is admission to an English-language program, which requires a certified English translation of the high school diploma.
