In the Greek Catholic Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Moyzesova 40), celebrations will begin on the eve of Sunday.
Main service: Saturday, April 4, at 9:00 PM.
The blessing of food will take place immediately after the solemn night service ends.
📍 Prešov
In Prešov, the festive liturgy will take place on Sunday morning directly at the Monastery of Saint Basil (at Vajanského 31).
Service start: Sunday, April 5, at 9:30 AM.
Blessing of baskets: after the Sunday service is finished.
📍 Nitra
The Parish of Saint Michael also offers believers the opportunity to celebrate Easter on two dates.
Services and blessing of Easter breads: Saturday, April 4, and Saturday, April 11.
Time: from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
📍 Trnava
In one of the city's most beautiful landmarks – the Basilica of Saint Nicholas (Bazilika svätého Mikuláša) – Ukrainian Greek Catholics will also be able to bless their baskets on two consecutive Saturdays.
Dates: April 4 and April 11.
Time: from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Due to the large number of people on holidays, organizers ask you to come for the food blessing in advance.
