On April 16, near the observatory on Mount Urpín, a bear attacked a 31-year-old runner. The man suffered injuries to his chest, but he managed to fight off the wild animal and reach the train station, where help was called for him.
The injured man is in the hospital, and a special monitoring group is working at the scene with the police. People are urged to be as careful as possible when walking in nature, and if they see a bear, they should call the emergency squad's hotline at +421 903 201 879.
