Today, July 18, the 14th annual march "Proud of Family" (Hrdí na rodinu) will take place in the center of Bratislava. The event, which supports the traditional family model, will start in the afternoon at Jakubovo námestie square.
The slogan of this year's march is "A spouse protects children." According to the organizers, their goal is to emphasize that for children's harmonious development, they "need the love of a mother and father more than things." Besides the march itself, a supporting program is planned for participants, including a holy mass and a panel discussion on the topic of family values.
The march coincides with another mass event – the Dúhový PRIDE parade, which is also taking place today in the city center. Because of both events, the police have increased security measures and introduced temporary traffic restrictions in the central part of Bratislava. Drivers and public transport passengers should consider possible delays and route changes throughout the day.
