If you planned a trip to the center of Bratislava on Saturday, you should check your route. Today, July 18, two large public events are happening at the same time in the capital, which will significantly affect traffic. These are the annual Dúhový PRIDE parade and the "Hrdí na rodinu" (Proud for Family) march.

Restrictions will affect a large area of the Old Town. The Dúhový PRIDE march will start from Námestie slobody, and the "Hrdí na rodinu" march will start from Jakubovo námestie. The police warn about possible traffic closures on key streets, including Štefánikova, Hodžovo námestie, and Staromestská. The main inconveniences are expected to last approximately from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Drivers are advised to avoid the city center during this time and use bypass routes. You should also be prepared for changes in public transport (MHD) — bus and trolleybus routes may change quickly depending on the road situation. Slovak media report more details about the march routes and expected restrictions. It is best to check the official website of Dopravný podnik Bratislava (DPB) or police announcements for current traffic information.
