In the town of Malacky, two criminals stole 3000 euros from an 85-year-old woman by using a fake story about "Ukrainian criminals" who were supposedly threatening pensioners. One of the fraudsters, pretending to be a police officer, convinced the victim that her savings were in danger. Under pressure from fear, they forced the pensioner to leave the money in a trash bin.
Police have already arrested the suspects – two young men, aged 21 and 23. The investigation confirmed: there were no Ukrainians involved in the crime; this was just part of the fraudsters' story.
