While cybercrime is breaking records, users in Slovakia continue to "help" hackers by choosing the simplest possible combinations to protect their data. Researchers analyzed a database of leaks and compiled a list of the most popular passwords in the country. The results are surprisingly predictable.
Slovak Top 20 Worst Passwords
The analysis shows that most users in Slovakia still do not take the threat of hacking seriously, choosing the easiest ways to protect themselves. Instead of unique phrases, people are massively using technical combinations that are set by default by manufacturers.

Interestingly, besides simple number combinations, Slovaks often use names and surnames ("vlado1234", "igorko77") or even the simple word "heslo" (password), which cannot protect your data in any way.

The situation worldwide is not much different. According to data from NordPass, the most common password on the planet remains the combination "123456". The global top also consistently includes:

Experts note that most passwords from the top ten can be cracked using the "brute force" method in less than a second.
How Not to Become a Victim of Hackers?
Cybersecurity experts remind us again: a password is the only barrier between your money/personal data and malicious actors.
Golden rules of security:
Length matters: at least 12 characters.
Character mix: use uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters (e.g., @, #, $).
Uniqueness: do not use the same password for email, social networks, and banking.
Two-factor authentication (2FA): be sure to enable login confirmation via SMS or an app.
