The Slovak police detained a gang that "helped" foreigners to stay illegally in Slovakia and other EU countries by faking documents for temporary residence. This put foreigners at risk of deportation. Six people have already been charged, and one of them is in custody. During searches, evidence of their criminal activity was found – fake accommodation declarations that were forged for at least seven third-country nationals. The gang members face 2 to 8 years in prison for illegal enrichment.
