According to a survey by the "Future Forum of Slovakia" analytical center and the Focus agency, 63.5% of Slovaks prefer the country's orientation towards the EU, while 19.2% support an eastern direction of development.
Sociologist Michal Vašečka noted that the foreign policy of Robert Fico's government contradicts the will of the majority of the population. Only 32.6% of respondents are satisfied with the government's foreign policy, while 54.8% expressed dissatisfaction.
Furthermore, 54.4% of respondents support Slovakia's participation in common European defense, which shows a desire for closer integration with Western partners.
