More than 2,100 parcel lockers and 1,000 pickup points are now available for receiving packages from the Polish marketplace Allegro. Thanks to a new partnership with the courier company Slovak Parcel Service (SPS), orders from abroad will be delivered faster and more conveniently. Customers will not have to adjust to inconvenient courier schedules.
What has changed in logistics
Previously, delivering goods from Polish sellers often required complex logistics chains. Now, the process has been greatly simplified as part of the Allegro International Delivery program.
The system works in two stages. First, a branded Allegro One Courier picks up the package from the seller in Poland. This courier consolidates shipments for several countries and transports them across the border. In Slovakia, the local SPS service takes over and handles the final delivery to the customer.
Benefits for buyers and sellers
This innovation is useful for everyone who orders clothes, electronics, or household goods from the neighboring country. According to Adam Tomczak, head of international delivery at Allegro, the company's goal is to make shopping from abroad as comfortable as buying from local Slovak stores.
Main changes for users:
- Flexible pickup. You can pick up your package at self-service parcel lockers (balíkobox) or at one of the traditional pickup points (výdajné miesto).
- Address delivery. The option to have the item delivered by courier directly to your door is still available.
- Wider selection. Polish sellers no longer need to sign separate contracts with foreign carriers, as all logistics and invoicing are handled automatically by the system. This encourages them to open sales for the Slovak market.
How to use the new conditions
You will not need to install any additional apps. When placing an order on the Allegro platform, simply choose the most convenient delivery method. Jan Turek, CEO of SPS, notes that the company continues to invest in expanding its network of parcel lockers, so the number of available points will only grow over time.
