About the Faculty
The Faculty of Philosophy of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice is a humanities department located in the largest city in eastern Slovakia. The faculty has 11 departments that train specialists with a long academic tradition.
Studies focus on areas such as history, philology, psychology, social work, and pedagogy. Programs are available in Slovak, with some courses taught in English. Students can earn a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree.
For applicants from Ukraine, studies are free of charge if they know the Slovak language. The prihláška (application form) must be submitted by March 31, 2026, with an application fee of 20 euros. A place in the internát (dormitory) is provided on a competitive basis.
