In autumn 2026, a new public space for active recreation will open in Bratislava. The neglected area under the Apollo bridge, near the Eurovea Tower skyscraper, will be transformed into a modern skatepark, open to everyone.
The new facility will be designed not only for skateboarders but also for scooter, roller skate, and BMX bike riders.
What is known about the project
The initiator of the park's creation is the developer J&T REAL ESTATE (JTRE) in cooperation with the Bratislava city authorities. The main goal is to transform an unused location into a safe and attractive place for young people and the sports community.
The skatepark will be designed in a "plaza" style, imitating an urban environment with elements such as stairs, railings, and walls. As the project authors note, the design has been developed considering the needs of both beginners and professional athletes.
A new center for urban youth
The project has received approval from the relevant community. The Slovak Skateboarding Association has confirmed that the park's design is suitable for athletes of all levels. This will allow for both daily training and competitions to be held here, making the location a new center of attraction for active residents and visitors to the capital.
