Drivers going through Bratislava on the D2 highway should expect significant delays. Because of a traffic accident, the National Road Company (NDS) is periodically closing traffic in the Sitina tunnel.
The restrictions affect the direction from the Lamač district towards Petržalka and the Lafranconi bridge. As reported by Slovak media, traffic delays in this area are already up to 20 minutes. Traffic jams have formed on the approach to the tunnel.
Drivers are advised, if possible, to choose alternative routes through the city to avoid waiting. Before traveling, it is worth checking the current traffic situation using navigation systems. It is not yet known how long the restrictions will last.
