Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia have predictably refused to allow the Slovak Prime Minister to use their airspace for a visit to the Russian Federation on May 9. They do not want to help strengthen ties with the aggressor country.
Bratislava has now sent a request to Poland. If Poland refuses, the route will have to go through Hungary, Romania, and the Black Sea. This is the same route that was used during previous visits by Fico to Moscow for talks with the leaders of the Russian Federation and China.
