Are you preparing rainbow clothes for this Saturday? On July 18, Bratislava will host the 16th annual Dúhový PRIDE march. The event starts at 12:00 PM at Námestie slobody (Freedom Square) and this year's motto is "Our courage is stronger than hate" (Naša odvaha je silnejšia ako nenávisť).
What's on the program
The main part of the festival will take place at Freedom Square from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Besides performances by artists and bands on the main stage, visitors can expect:

Discussion panels and a zone for NGOs, where you can learn more about human rights and educational initiatives.
A large children's zone with animators and entertainment for the little ones.
Numerous food and drink stands.

Entry to the square will be organized from three sides: from Žilinská street, Mýtna street, and from 1. mája square. The full program and performance schedule can be found on the official event website.
March route and safety rules

The traditional march through the city streets will be a key part of the event. For safety reasons, organizers will not disclose the exact route in advance. It is known that the march will start from Freedom Square and return there.
Organizers ask for attention to the rules: only empty plastic bottles can be brought onto the premises (there will be a water tank on site), and glass and metal containers are forbidden.
After the day program ends, at 9:00 PM, the official afterparty will begin. It will take place in five clubs in the Kamenné námestie area, accessible with a single ticket.
