About the Faculty
The Theatre Faculty (Divadelná fakulta) is a part of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. This institution focuses on training professionals in performing arts. The faculty is located in the capital city and works closely with professional theatre organizations in the country.
Studies at the faculty include acting, directing, and dramaturgy. Students get education in bachelor's and master's programs in the Slovak language. The educational process includes regular participation in performances and festivals to gain practical experience.
To apply, applicants submit a prihláška (application form) and go through an artistic competition, which requires knowledge of the Slovak language. Studies in state-funded programs are free, but the number of places is limited. Students can get a place in a dormitory (internát) if they ask.
