About the Faculty
The Faculty of Natural Sciences is a structural part of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. This university has four departments that provide an academic foundation for students and researchers.
Studies are offered at Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels. Students study biology, chemistry, geography, and informatics mainly in Slovak, but some courses are available in English.
For applicants from Ukraine, studies are free of charge if they know the Slovak language. The application fee (prihláška) is €32, and the deadline for admission in 2026 is April 30. Questions about dormitory accommodation (internát) must be handled separately.
