Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra is a state higher education institution, founded in 1959 as a pedagogical institute. Located in the city of Nitra, Nitra Region; as of 2024/2025, it educated 7,420 students, and in 2025/2026, more than 8,000 are expected.
Education is provided in five faculties in the fields of: pedagogy, humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, IT, and medicine. Is there study in English?+
Yes. The Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Education offer programs in English Philology, English Language and Culture, and English Language Studies (Bc./Mgr.). Full-time study in Slovak at a state university is free for all students, especially those from Ukraine.
