About the Faculty
The faculty specializes in Catholic theology, biblical studies, philosophy of religion, and pastoral practice. Programs are available at three educational levels: Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral.
Studies are conducted mainly in Slovak, partly in Latin or English. For Ukrainians, it may be free of charge if they know Slovak.
Applications (prihláška) have clear deadlines, usually by the end of February–March. Dormitory accommodation (internát) is provided upon separate request and is not automatically guaranteed.

Updated 21 July 2026For most bachelor's programs, admission is grantedwithout entrance exams— based on the average grade of the certificate in relevant subjects. A bachelor's diploma in the relevant field is required for master's programs. Applications are submitted via ePrihláška.

Is tuition free at the faculty?+
Full-time study in Slovak at public universities in Slovakia is free within the standard duration — this also applies to Theological Faculty programs. English-language and part-time programs are usually paid; the application fee is paid separately.
How to apply to Theological Faculty?+
Applications are submitted online through the e-prihláška system of Trnavská univerzita v Trnave university (link on the university's page) or through portalvs.sk. For documents from Ukraine, recognition of the certificate/diploma will be required — start this step in advance.
