How much does an STU dormitory in Bratislava cost?+

STU has a network of student dormitories (the largest are Mladá Garda, Nikosa Belojanisa, Jura Hronca, Akademik). The price depends on the dormitory and the standard after renovation.

Approximately: in ŠD Mladá Garda — from ~€112 per person/month. The university is actively renovating dormitories, so tariffs are higher in renovated blocks.

A place is assigned by a point system (distance, program, social criteria), so it is worth booking accommodation immediately after enrollment.

Are there entrance exams for STU technical faculties?+

Many STU faculties (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Materials Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering) admit students to bachelor's programs mainly based on secondary school results, often without a separate entrance exam.

The exception is FIIT (Faculty of Informatics), which has an entrance exam in mathematics and informatics. So, the conditions depend on the specific faculty.

Foreigners must confirm their knowledge of Slovak for Slovak-language programs and submit recognition of their secondary school certificate.
