About the Faculty
The Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering is part of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. The faculty includes three main institutes: Landscape Architecture, Landscape Engineering, and Horticulture.
Students can study for Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees. The programs include practical training and research, and some courses are taught in English.

How much does admission to the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering SPU in Nitra cost?+
The fee for admission to bachelor's studies is €50 for an electronic application. Applications are submitted only electronically via the university system is.uniag.sk/prihlaska, and payment is made by bank transfer using the details on the last page of the e-application.
One application can be used to apply for several faculty programs within one fee. Without confirmation of payment, the application is considered incomplete and will not be processed, so be sure to attach it.

When to apply to FZKI SPU for 2026/2027?+
The main application period for bachelor's studies runs from January to April, and the additional period (2nd round) runs from May to July. For landscape engineering and horticulture programs, admission is through an interview, and for 'landscape and garden architecture,' a talent test is mandatory.
We advise not to wait for the second round: places in popular programs may be filled earlier. Check the faculty's admission page for exact dates of interviews and talent tests.

What can be studied at FZKI SPU and what departments make up the faculty?+
After reorganization in 2021, the faculty is organized into three institutes: the Institute of Landscape Architecture, the Institute of Landscape Engineering, and the Institute of Horticulture. Horticulture, landscape and garden architecture, landscape engineering, and green biotechnology programs are centered around them.
This is a more specialized, 'green' faculty for those interested in agronomy, landscape design, water management, and urban climate adaptation. Studies are conducted in Slovak.
