About the University
Prešov University in Prešov is a state classical higher education institution, founded in 1997. It is the largest university in eastern Slovakia, with over 6,800 students, including about 1,500 foreigners each year.
Studies are conducted in Slovak and English for Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD programs. It covers humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, economics, medicine, sports, and theology. Its unique feature is two theological faculties: Greek Catholic and the only Orthodox one in the country.
Full-time study in Slovak is free (verejná). The application fee is €30. Deadlines: Bachelor's - by March 31 / April 30, 2026 (2nd round by August 15), Master's - by April 30, PhD - May-June. Dormitory costs €70–€75 per month.

The fee for the admission procedure depends on the faculty – approximately €20 for an electronic application and €30 for a paper application at some faculties, up to €39 at others. Payment is exclusively by bank transfer. Dormitory accommodation is approximately €70–€75 per month (2-/3-bed rooms).

Yes. The Faculty of Management, Economics and Trade offers accredited programs in English at Bc., Mgr., and PhD. levels (Management, Economy and Management in Sustainable Innovative Industry, etc.). Full-time study in Slovak at a state university is free.
