Faculty of Musical Arts
About the Faculty
The Faculty of Musical Arts is a structural part of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, located in the central part of Slovakia. This institution specializes in the professional training of musicians, composers, and educators for professional work in the arts.
The educational process is carried out at the bachelor's and master's levels in the Slovak language. The programs focus on the study of instrumental and vocal arts, conducting, composition, and music pedagogy.
To enroll, applicants from Ukraine must submit a prihláška (application form) and pass creative examinations. Education is free of charge if studying in the Slovak language. Dormitory accommodation (internát) can be provided upon a separate request.

Updated 21 July 2026For most bachelor's programs, admission is grantedwithout entrance exams— based on the average grade of the certificate in relevant subjects. A bachelor's diploma in the relevant field is required for master's programs. Applications are submitted via ePrihláška.
