About the Faculty
The Faculty of Dramatic Arts is a structural part of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. The institution specializes in theater education and developing creative skills in performance, directing, and dramaturgy.
The learning process focuses on practical training, so students regularly participate in performances, workshops, and festivals. Programs are available in Slovak; studying in English is possible upon request. Graduates earn a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
To apply from Ukraine, you need to submit an application form (prihláška) and successfully pass creative exams. Studying in Slovak is free. Dormitory accommodation (internát) is provided if there are available places.

Updated 21 July 2026For most bachelor's programs, admission is grantedwithout entrance exams— based on the average grade of the certificate in relevant subjects. A bachelor's diploma in the relevant field is required for master's programs. Applications are submitted via ePrihláška.
