The national football team of Ukraine has chosen a temporary home arena: it will be the Anton Malatinský Stadium in Trnava. The team will play two UEFA Nations League matches here: on October 2, 2026, and October 5, 2026.
The Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) has agreed on all details with the Slovak side. On October 2, Ukrainians will play against the national team of Northern Ireland, and on October 5, they will play against the team of Hungary. Both matches will start at 21:45 Kyiv time. These will be games of the 3rd and 4th rounds, in which Ukraine competes in Division B.
Why Trnava?
Trnava was chosen for several reasons. This arena, also known as the City Arena, can host over 19,000 spectators and is considered one of the most modern in Slovakia. The stadium regularly hosts matches of the Slovak national team and meets all UEFA requirements. For Ukrainian fans living in Slovakia and neighboring countries, this is a good opportunity to support the team in person.
Moreover, the Ukrainian national team has already played at this stadium – and successfully. In June 2023, during the Euro-2024 qualifiers, Ukrainians defeated the national team of Malta here with a score of 1-0.

- September 25: Hungary vs. Ukraine (away)
- September 28: Georgia vs. Ukraine (away)
- October 2: Ukraine vs. Northern Ireland (Trnava, Slovakia)
- October 5: Ukraine vs. Hungary (Trnava, Slovakia)
- November 14: Northern Ireland vs. Ukraine (away)
- November 17: Ukraine vs. Georgia (venue to be announced later)
