Software Engineer (Java)

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a DevOps mindset to join our client's team and contribute to the development and operation of a modern Manufacturing Execution System (MES). You will be fully responsible for selected local business applications – from development and deployment to operational stability and incident/problem resolution (80% - support of local applications, 20% - global development). This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a greenfield project, creating digital solutions that support the transition to sustainable and smart manufacturing. Work model: 100% on-site in Košice (with great flexibility) Main responsibilities: • Analyze user requirements and transform them into digital functionalities and technical specifications. • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve software solutions, including UAT testing, implementation, and deployment. • Monitor and operate applications (logs, middleware, database statistics, system status). • Handle incidents, problems, and change requests, bringing tickets to resolution. • Update operational documentation and ensure proper handover to on-site support teams. • Track outstanding technology issues to ensure operational stability. • Research new technologies and support DevOps automation (CI/CD, where applicable).
