We invite you to the exhibition «Glokálna rovnosť a pohostinnosť (neplatné idey?)» (Slovak for 'Global equality and hospitality (invalid ideas?)'), prepared by curators Edit Andraš and Ilona Nemet. This event is one of the key projects of the program «European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026» and one of the first exhibitions to open in the restored building Župný dom (County House).
The exhibition is dedicated to the most pressing issues of today: growing social, economic, and gender inequality, the climate crisis, geopolitical conflicts, as well as the impact of technology, social networks, and artificial intelligence on our daily lives.
Through works by prominent international artists, the exhibition offers diverse perspectives on global problems and their local consequences. Art here creates a space for critical reflection, dialogue, and the search for new ways to understand social processes, strengthen solidarity, and respond to the challenges of the modern world.
«Glokálna rovnosť a pohostinnosť (neplatné idey?)» invites visitors to think about the future of our society, the meaning of coexistence, hospitality, and responsibility at a time when the boundaries between local and global increasingly intersect.
