The historic center of Prešov will be the venue for the first International Folklore Festival of Countries and Traditions from August 6 to 8, 2026. This event promises three days filled with music, dance, traditions, crafts, and regional tastes.
Folklore groups from Slovakia, Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, and Ukraine will perform on one stage, introducing visitors to the richness of their countries' folk culture. The festival will include a gala opening program, performances by Slovak and foreign folklore ensembles, a folklore parade through the city center, a dance school without borders, and traditional games.
You can also look forward to the "Discover and Feel Šariš" zone, smiling fairs, tasting of Šariš goulash, and evening concerts by the bands ICONITO and MALALATA. Admission to all festival events is free.
