The historic center of Trnava is again becoming a big open-air stage. Starting July 1, the traditional and popular festival "Leto na korze" (Summer on the Promenade) will begin in the pedestrian zone in front of the town hall. For two summer months, free cultural events will take place here every day: from puppet shows and fairy tales for children to live concerts, dance shows, and folk performances.
The organizers have made sure that there is entertainment for everyone and that evening walks in the city are as atmospheric as possible. Admission to all festival events is free.
Since more than 60 events are planned, the schedule has been structured for the convenience of visitors:
Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays — Children's Days: the space is given to professional puppet and drama theaters (Divadlo Veteš, Divadlo z klobúka, Bábkové divadlo na Rázcestí, etc.).
Other days of the week — Adult and General Program: concerts by local and foreign bands, dance performances (Elles Dance Studio, Crazy Family, Alegria), original music projects, and traditional folklore.
Themed International Weeks:
International Week (July): performances by guests from Austria, Germany, and Belgium (Martin Rothender, Melissa Nielsen, LARC, Jess Blijkers).
Za hranice s hudbou (Beyond Borders with Music) (August): experimental cross-border projects, collaborations, and performances by young artists (including Miriam Matejková, Lex Skor from Ukraine, collaborations with Berklee, etc.).
Please note that the schedule is adapted to the length of daylight:
IN JULY:
Children's shows (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) start at 6:00 PM.
Music, dance, and folk shows start at 7:00 PM.
IN AUGUST:
All programs (both children's and adult) start at the same time — 6:00 PM.
