About the Faculty

The Faculty of Special Technology is a structural part of Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín in Trenčín. The institution specializes in training personnel for state structures involved in public protection, security, and emergency response.

The educational process covers fields of safety engineering, fire fighting, civil defense, and crisis management. Students can obtain education at the bachelor's, master's, and doctor of philosophy levels, with some courses available in English.

For applicants from Ukraine, education is free of charge if they have a command of the Slovak language. Applications (prihláška) are submitted within specified deadlines, mostly by the end of February or the beginning of March. Students can expect dormitory accommodation (internát), but the number of places is limited.

Admission to the Faculty

For most bachelor's programs, admission is grantedwithout entrance exams— based on the average grade of the certificate in relevant subjects. A bachelor's diploma in the relevant field is required for master's programs. Applications are submitted via ePrihláška.
